EDITOR’S NOTE

This is a very top-heavy edition… meaning mostly tops.

Now that there are a number of you here who don’t know me well personally, it’s the right time to say that I believe tops are the most important part of a man’s look.

I will grow up one day and realize that clean shoes, clothes that fit, and balance are what really make a fit work. Ideally before the start of my 30s, as(unfortunately) a well-balanced outfit on a male cannot be taken for granted in America.

And still further into my future, perhaps in my 50s or 60s, I will come home to the objective truth that success and failure rest solely in the trouser. For example, a grandpa in quarter-inch thick purple corduroys. Paired with literally any button-down and a loafer, you just can’t beat that look.

But for now, I admit that I am disproportionately searching for and sending you home run hitter jackets and tops…

OFFICE WEAR
Naadam Szn Is Back

It was BRISK on my walk home from work yesterday. Can you believe it? I am seeing breakers, light trenches, and… little knits. The latter means one thing: Naadam.

Naadam's crewneck is knit from 100% cashmere in a light gauge that works across seasons without making you sweat. Round House makes this long sleeve tee in Oklahoma with 6.1 oz. pre-shrunk cotton that holds up to hard use. The full-cut design has taped shoulders and double-needle stitching at the sleeves and hem so seams don't split after repeat wear. Open-end yarn gives the fabric a sturdy hand, and the fit stays true through many wash cycles.

This pocket tee is also made in the USA from 6.1 oz. pre-shrunk cotton with a chest pocket sized for a phone or small notebook. Couldn’t help but double dip this brand across two categories… this thing was too nice to leave you guys out of the loop.

Barena's Borgo jacket is made in Italy from their Matador fabric in a light stone shade called Sasso. Cut with soft shoulders and patch pockets, this piece sits between a blazer and a jacket with no lining for comfort. The fabric has a subtle corduroy texture and the fit is roomy enough to layer over knits without pulling tight.

Love me a little misplaced pocket

Poche Studio's 1/3 zip hoodie is made from heavy terry cotton in a faded teal they call "Pond Water" (gross name).
