EDITOR’S NOTE: On Breakfast
Whenever I don’t have time to eat breakfast, I tell myself that I am intermittent fasting and that constricting the eating envelope is good for metabolism. If I do have time, however, I like to make two eggs and two pieces of bacon. Salted Kerry Gold Irish butter is my preferred non-stick agent.
Anyway, let’s tap into today.
LUXURY
Short Collar, Top Dollar
AMI Paris brings us a fresh blue cotton jacket that's perfect for spring. The zip-up style has a ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem for a snug fit. We love the embroidered Ami de Coeur logo on the chest, adding a touch of brand appeal. This jacket is ideal for layering on cooler days or as a light outer layer when temps start to rise.
AMI Paris also brings us a fresh green Ami De Coeur cotton jacket that's perfect for spring. The zip-up style has a ribbed collar, cuffs, and hem for a snug fit. We love the subtle Ami de Coeur logo on the chest, adding a touch of brand appeal without being showy. This jacket is a great pick for those cool spring days when you need an extra layer but don't want to bundle up.
WORKWEAR
Overshirts R Us
The Universal Works Easy Jacket in rich brown corduroy is a sharp pick for layering this season. Made with a 6-wale cord, it has a soft texture and a relaxed, unstructured fit that’s easy to dress up or down. The patch pockets add a practical edge without feeling bulky, while the rich brown tone pairs well with earthy or neutral shades. Whether you’re throwing it over a button-down or a knit, this jacket nails that balance of casual and refined.
Second is the Travail Overshirt in a camel Nippon waffle fabric. This piece has a relaxed fit with a point collar, patch pockets, and corozo nut buttons (zest). The textured Japanese fabric adds depth to the shirt's look while keeping things comfy. We're digging how it works as both a light jacket and a layering piece for cooler days.
STREETWEAR
The Bottom Half
Brain Dead's Flight Pant in Deep Blue takes cues from classic military wear. These pants have a relaxed fit with a tapered leg, plus handy cargo pockets and a drawstring waist. We're digging the comfy cotton twill fabric and the subtle Brain Dead logo on the back pocket. Perfect for adding some edge to your everyday look, these pants are ready for takeoff.
Brain Dead's Bull Denim Double Knee Utility Pant in brown is a rugged update to our everyday wear. These pants have a relaxed fit with a straight leg, plus double-knee panels for extra strength. I’m into the utility pockets and hammer loop, which add both style and use. Made from 100% cotton bull denim, they're tough enough for work but cool enough for play.
FORMAL WEAR
The Nehru Vest
I’m increasingly interested in what’s known as the “Nehru collar.” This is a stand-up collar typically 1–2 inches high with slightly rounded edges, named after former Indian prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The brand Mr. Button specializes in vests with the Nehru collar, and have some brazy prints. But the Gentleman Vest in Green (above) and Ja Rule Jacket (below) serve as good on-ramps for those new to the style. Definitely check out the site if your risk appetite is large and you’re looking for a statement piece.
OFFICE WEAR
Solid Work Shirt
Ministry of Supply's Apollo Raglan Sport Shirt is a techy take on the button down polo. It has a sleek look with raglan sleeves and a v-neck collar. The shirt uses “NASA-grade phase change material” (a self-aggrandizing way of saying breathable polyester blend) to keep you cool and dry. What we love about that is that it's machine washable and wrinkle-free, making it perfect for travel or busy days.
ONE LAST THING….
Thank You.

Playboi Carti released his fourth studio album today, I Am Music. There’s lots of filler and plenty of skips (it’s 30 tracks), but there’s ample playlist material in this record. I am only two thirds of the way through, but any day Carti releases is a good day. Enjoy that this weekend if you’re under the age of 30.
