EDITOR’S NOTE
After careful thought and consideration of relevant data, I am confident announcing that we are switching from iced cortado back to hot cortado. I don’t want to see ice in your cup anymore. Little paper cup season is back. Enjoy the return to velvety sipping. And Jay Powell thought he had a tough week…

LUXURY
The Knits are Hitting
The brown and light taupe Cashseta full zip cardigan from Zegna is made with a refined blend of 70% cashmere and 30% mulberry silk. It has a ribbed stand collar and a full zip, offering lightweight comfort with a luxe smooth finish. The soft tones make it perfect for layering under a jacket or wearing on its own. This piece feels both elegant and easy to wear.
Zegna’s brown Oasi cashmere zip mock neck sweater is crafted from one of their most exclusive fibers, delivering a snug, cozy fit through ribbed knit construction. It has a short zip at the front and a mock neck that keeps the chill out without feeling tight. The drop shoulder and long sleeves enhance comfort, making it an ideal midweight layer. It’s a rich, warm brown that complements casual and smart outfits alike.
WORKWEAR
That’s a Shturdy Work Pant
Orslow’s wide fit French work pants in army green and coffee brown share the same roomy style with an elastic back waistband for added comfort. They have an extra pocket on the right leg and a subtle herringbone twill pattern for texture. These pants are built with heavier, more structured fabric than their standard work pants, holding shape through wide legs with generous room in the top block. If a looser fit is preferred, going true to size or sizing down for a snugger fit is recommended based on your usual American sizes.
STREETWEAR
For the Love of Corduroy
Kings of Indigo’s Duncan mid indigo cord jacket is an all-season piece that works for layering in colder months or as a light jacket in the transitional months. It’s short in length with handy front pockets, blending simple style with practical utility. The fabric’s corduroy texture adds subtle depth while the mid-indigo shade fits well with denim or casual pants.
Meanwhile, the Sushan dark green corduroy pants have a relaxed, loose taper fit with a soft feel thanks to 100% organic cotton. These pants bring in a rich green hue to add understated color without overstating the look, perfect for adding some texture and depth to streetwear outfits.
FORMAL WEAR
Lifetime Loafers
Listen… $700 for shoes is crazy. I’m not acting like it isn’t. But that is where is where league-leading-loafer maker Alden has set the market.
Something as core to men’s footwear as the loafer deserves special consideration and investment because it’s never going to go out of style. Not only that, the older you get, the more you will wear them. So… humbly consider adding one of these beautiful shoes to your Safari tabs of “things to buy one day.”
Alden’s 9697F penny loafer in dark brown suede brings a refined softness with a flexible welt construction. This shoe has a classic silhouette that suits formal and smart casual occasions, with supple suede that breaks in comfortably over time. The dark brown color goes well with a range of suits and dress pants, making it a reliable add to your footwear rotation.
The black soft calf version of this loafer offers the same flexible welt with a polished black leather finish for a sharper, dressier look that pairs well with darker formal wear. Both styles support long wear with comfort in mind.
ONE LAST THING….
Fashun Soul Sister
YouTuber/fashion sensei Ash Callaghan is a new favorite source of mine. Her subject matter is technically clothes and style, but her last few videos have focused more on the philosophy of modern authenticity than what cuts of denim are in right now.
I think that what she’s doing on her channel is what I want TIM to be with time. There’s much more storytelling, and she uses the medium to develop her opinions about fashion and style. That she’s found a community who engage with her thinking at scale looks like a very rewarding position.
Flowers for the English educational podcaster! 💐
As always, thanks for reading!
