EDITOR’S NOTE
I did dry Jan again and have only had drinks on a couple of occasions so far in February. This isn’t too bad given we’re living through a renaissance in THC-infused drink options. Smoking doesn’t scale(I like my lungs), and edibles feel too much like taking a vitamin.
The best two options I’ve come across in 2026 are:
Wims Pocket Tonic (5mg THC/packet)
A packet smaller than a credit card that fits in your wallet, and can be squeezed into any drink. I mixed mine into a tonic water with a splash of ginger beer, and nursed it for 15 minutes at a party.
Super clean high, very minimal actual liquid needed to mix into your drink, and it lasted for about two hours. I think it’s going to become standard practice to have one of these in my wallet on weekends.
Caan Roadie (2mg THC/packet)
Slightly larger volume of liquid per packet, but an even smaller dose of THC. This one’s taste was more undetectable, which I take as a win. If you put this into a Diet Coke (I did), you wouldn’t even taste it.
*Note: Caan sent me a 12-pack of these guys on the house. Idk anything about advertising disclosure laws, but it felt like I should tell you this.
Also I am a massive lightweight with THC. I usually can only bear to be solo with a TV show and a hoodie if you give me too much. Somehow both of these products completely avoided that zone, and instead left me comfortably on one.
Anyway, let’s tap into today.
LUXURY
Two Tasty Jackets
The Travel Shell Parka is the piece that started Battenwear, and it still earns its place as the brand's best argument. Made in Japan from a 60/40 cotton-nylon blend, it resists wind and water through the thread makeup alone, no chemical coatings or added films. A 3-panel hood, two-way YKK zipper, pleated elbows, and a full spread of pockets make it as ready for a trail hike as it is for a long layover. The orange and light beige pairing gives it an outdoor feel that reads sharp without reading sporty.
On sale at $294, down from $420, the Wander Jacket in navy 8-wale corduroy is the right call for transitional weather. The 100% cotton shell gets a soft flannel lining for added heat, while a two-way front zipper and elastic at the cuffs and waist seal things up. Angle-entry hand pockets with button flaps and a cross-collar button at the neck round out the detail work. Made in Japan, it has a quiet polish that handles both the city and the hill with ease.
WORKWEAR
For the weekends
Saucony’s are like Hoka’s without all the flagrant it-girl marketing. I have a pair with great cushion and comfort that are my preferred footwear for walks & grocery runs.
No frill footwear. That’s it.
On sale at $119.95, down from $150, the Guide 18 Wide is Saucony's daily trainer built for runners who need support and real room across the foot. PWRRUN cushioning sits inside a broad base platform with raised sidewalls that cradle the foot for a smooth ride mile after mile. CenterPath technology in the upper locks the foot in place while a padded heel collar keeps the fit snug from step one. At 9.6oz with a 6mm drop, it runs lighter than you'd expect and holds up well for steady weekly mileage.
The Triumph 23 Wide runs on PWRRUN PB foam, a softer, lighter version of the midsole that gives a responsive ride for long training days. A new super-responsive sockliner (SRS) teams up with the updated outsole to keep each step feeling smooth and fluid, with no dead spots between strides. Lightweight mesh keeps the foot cool and the padded heel holds things in without feeling stiff. This is the shoe to grab when the miles start to add up.
STREETWEAR
For the snowbanks
The Snowclog Corduroy wraps a warm, padded interior in a ribbed corduroy shell that adds texture to an otherwise clean silhouette. The EVA foam sole and OrthoLite footbed keep things light and easy underfoot, while the slip-on cut makes this a fast grab for cold mornings in and out of the house. Salomon built it to sit right in the gap between a full snow boot and a house slipper, and it lands exactly there. It pairs well with a wide range of casual looks, from heavy sweats to relaxed denim.
The Nuptse Traction Chukka puts 700-fill down into a low-boot silhouette made for days when you want real warmth without pulling on a full snow boot. The ripstop upper has a quilted, puffy look that nods to classic North Face puffer DNA, and the IcePick rubber lug sole grips wet and dry ground alike. A slipper-style fit means it pulls on fast, and the low ankle cut keeps it from looking bulky. At about 12oz per half pair, there's real weight to the warmth here.
FORMAL WEAR
For the evening
The Boston Chelsea boot in dark brown suede is one of the most sought-after styles in the Crockett & Jones range, and the color does a lot of the heavy lifting. Made in England with a Goodyear welt, the sole can be resoled when it wears down, so this is a boot you buy once and keep for decades. Dark brown suede is more forgiving than polished leather and cleans up fast with a soft brush after a wet day. The elastic side panels and pull tab make it an easy pull-on that still holds a sharp ankle line.
OFFICE WEAR
For the post-snow future
Made in Slovakia from 100% cotton canvas and natural rubber, the Novesta Star Master is a clean, low-cut sneaker built with no glue and a vulcanized sole for a bond that holds over time. The mono beige tone keeps things stripped down, and the slim canvas profile pairs easily with linen trousers, a relaxed chino, or shorts as the weather shifts. It runs on EU sizing (36-46), so check the size guide before ordering. We like it as a warm-weather daily driver that earns more looks than its price suggests.
Made by Quoddy in the classic moccasin style, this canoe shoe uses a premium khaki suede upper with a leather lining that molds to the foot with every wear. Rawhide laces, rust-free eyelets, and a perimeter lace system hold the fit firm through a full day without pinching. The wedged Quoddy camp rubber outsole has enough grip for a wet dock or a light trail path. This is a limited run worth taking seriously, and khaki suede hits just the right note from spring well into fall.
