The Secret to Summer Shirts, Drippy Golf Line, and Flowy Japanese Summerwear
LUXURY
Summer Luxury
Memorial Day always reminds me that in the summer, you really don’t need to reinvent the wheel. A white shirt made of the right combo of linen and cotton is all you need. Linen for the daytime, and something like this long-sleeve knit polo for dinnertime. In another interesting use of seersucker, this polo is about as complicated as my summer tops will get. We know it works, so save the complex statement shirts for fall.
WORKWEAR
Fantastic Performance Golf Line
Malbon Golf's latest collection, the Malbon Performance Line, focuses on technical innovation for golf apparel. The brand leverages professional golfer Jason Day to promote new releases and showcase standout products. Everything from pullovers, performance sweaters, kicks, ball markers, shorts and more round out the comprehensive collection. The collection features unconventional materials and designs (with conventionally acknowledgeable drip), catering to a more modern and active golf lifestyle that extends beyond the 18th green.
STREETWEAR
Shinya Kozuka Intro
Shinya Kozuka is a rising Japanese designer known for his avant-garde yet wearable aesthetic. I really loved this summer collection that has shorts, sandals, tops and hats. Kozuka's collections emphasize superior fabrics and construction across outerwear, tops, bottoms and accessories. With a global presence and his own Tokyo flagship, the 2018 Tokyo New Fashion Designer award winner is earning critical acclaim for blurring lines between expression and wearability.
OFFICE WEAR
The Only Acceptable Sperry
CNCPTS and Sperry launched the Dawn To Dusk Collection, featuring colorful boat shoes perfect for summer. The collection offers a modern twist on Sperry's otherwise tired design, with vibrant colorways and enhanced traction. Available in five colors, the shoes blend prep style with streetwear influences, priced at $150.
ONE LAST THING….
Suicoke Knock offs
These are a little too close to Suicoke sandals, but Axel is a good brand, so I’ll give these Area Sandals some limelight. The lighter colorway works too.
