EDITOR’S NOTE

Happy Friday!! Get after it this weekend, but only after you’ve checked out one of TIM’s budding social media accounts:

  1. Instagram

  2. TikTok

  3. Twitter

  4. FaCeBoOk (literally not kidding)

Anyway, let’s tap into today.

LUXURY
Alyx is Back

Matthew Williams is refocusing on his brand, 1017 ALYX 9SM, after waking up from the bad dream that was his tenure at Givenchy. The brand's Pre-Spring 2025 collection showcases a return to its industrial, street-leaning style with minimalist touches. The collection features sharp-clean lines on core garments, alongside relaxed constructions for a sartorial edge. Great to have you back, Matthew.

WORKWEAR
Alex Crane Board Shorts

Alex Crane's new Rama Board Shorts in Indigo are a must-have for your summer wardrobe. These shorts are made from Bananatex, a cutting-edge fiber from Abacá banana plants, making them both water-resistant and quick-drying. Sleek and sustainable. Again, if this price tag is messing with you, ask yourself if you want to buy a $25-$40 pair of awful quality trunks every June for the next five years. I certainly don’t!

STREETWEAR
North Face Purple Label

The North Face Purple Label's FW24 collection focuses on basics for outdoor wear with everyday style as its North Star. Purple Label is a specialized offshoot of The North Face that offers a unique blend of urban outdoor fashion and heritage-inspired performance wear. Pieces in this collection include outerwear, sweatsuits, hoodies, and more in a variety of colors. Accessories like bags and socks complement the collection's versatile palette. This collection is utterly wearable and effortlessly stylish.

FORMAL WEAR
Canali Linen Blazers

Family owned Italian mens clothier Canali does a lot that TIM readers should be tapped into. So as to bite off only an amount that I can chew in one write up, I’ll focus on linen blazers. The Kei blazer in denim blue is a summer stunner. Made from a blend of linen, silk, and wool, this jacket offers a relaxed fit with soft shoulders for a comfy and polished look. The Kei comes in four colors, and there are other linen styles to boot.

OFFICE WEAR
TS Canvas

Go deeper with these Todd Snyder x Catchball canvas sneakers. You could get Vans Eras, Converse, Adidas, et cetera. Or you could get something that speaks the language of the masses but with its own flare. In a classic Todd Snyder green, these are going to be marginally better than the competition, and it’s the most affordable thing I’ve ever seen from TS ($120). Check them in Navy, White and Light Brown as well.

ONE LAST THING….
Backpack’s Back Alright

Courtesy of Filson

I’m starting to get back on board with backpacks after a months-long fling with a canvas tote bag. There’s definitely more in the market to uncover, but this Filson waxed canvas Journeyman Backpack with leather detailing is chef’s kiss. TIM investigative reporters will be casing out the category move-forward.

As always, thanks for reading! Please spread the word and take a peek at our socials if you haven’t yet.
