LUXURY
Burberry Spring 2025
Burberry unveiled its Spring 2025 Resort collection (yes… 2025 already), focusing on modern Britishness and heritage. Creative Director Daniel Lee combines classic silhouettes with nuanced details for an elegant and sophisticated look. The collection features signature checks, floral embellishments, and transitional tones in clothing and accessories.
WORKWEAR
More Craig Green
It-boy English menswear designer Craig Green has come down from on high once more to make his designs accessible to the masses. These Squash Polta sneakers come in three different colorways and feature a mix of materials like woven TPE and suede. The sneakers have already been released in select regions, and are available in the US through Nordstrom.
STREETWEAR
Balenciaga Ball Cap
As part of their Spring ‘25 collection, Balenciaga worked with Under Armour to make a select few crossover pieces that are quietly flammable in my view. Beyond what I anticipate to be red-hot oversized shorts, this ball cap is such a subtle IYKYK piece for the cherry on top of a street fit. It’s got such a severely curved brim, the cotton drill is already washed out nicely, and there are notches on the sides of the brim that clearly define it as a Balenciaga cap, not your average UA cap. Nice work here.
FORMAL WEAR
Venetian Formal
Barena, the Venice-based label, is a standout in the menswear realm, excelling at crafting simple yet exquisite clothing with an emphasis on classic styling and beautiful fabrications. Their offerings strike a balance between sophistication and affordability, defying expectations for such meticulously crafted garments. For those who prioritize impeccable construction and enduring style over fleeting fashion trends, Barena emerges as a quintessential choice.
OFFICE WEAR
I Implore You…
I am once again asking you all to get these linen blend relaxed fit pants from Uniqlo. They are now on sale for less than $50, and I just promise that they’ll be your favorite pants all summer long. You can wear them to the office over leather shoes or dress sneakers, and then roll them up while taking a long walk on the beach. They are a multi-tool, a Swiss army knife, a switch hitter in a seven game playoff series. And they could be yours….
ONE LAST THING….
What?
In an era when quiet luxury is taken as the highest virtue of fashion, it’s always fun to see when someone makes a bag like this that is anything but quiet. The Orb Bag by Nik Bentel is loud, fairly impractical (ever heard of fingerprints?), and a genuine head-turner. At $250, it’s not the worst deal if all you want to do is get oohs and ahs.
