EDITOR’S NOTE

A haiku about the inferiority of polyester pants:

Shiny poly slacks

Sweat trapped at both your kneecaps

Nature weeps for you

Foreshadowing for the office wear section…

Anyway, let’s tap into today.

LUXURY
Car Coats from NW

“I lost a Norwegian Wool in a fusion restaurant in Vancouver.”
- Connor Roy

(Link to Video 🤣🤣🤣)

Norwegian Wool

This slim car coat is built around a stretch wool flannel shell with a waterproof membrane and windproof tech. A real down fill sits inside a double-sacked quilting system that stops feathers from leaking through, and a cashmere-cotton lined hood tucks away when you don't need it. The collar is lined with English moleskin for a soft touch at the neck, and the sleeves are cut to be tailored if needed. It sits over a blazer without a fight, which makes it work from the commute to the coat check.

Norwegian Wool

A cashmere wool blend brings real softness to this car coat, which runs the same waterproof and down-fill system as the rest of the Norwegian Wool lineup. The British blue herringbone pattern is the kind of thing that reads as sharp from across the room without announcing itself too loudly. Horn buttons and a moleskin-lined collar add quiet detail, and the sleeves can be tailored to your arm length. Like the rest of the range, it sits easily over a blazer and handles the cold down to -10°F.

WORKWEAR
Great Deal on Jeans (Carpenter & Regular)

Pretty insane price point for Made-in-USA jeans here… $69 for All American Dungarees is not something I see often. S/o to R

Round House Outlet

On sale from $89.95 to $69.95, this is a 14 oz. heavyweight 100% cotton carpenter jean made entirely in the USA, down to the cotton itself. The relaxed fit is cut to go over boots, and the left leg has a hammer loop plus a rule and pliers pocket for anyone who works with their hands. A dark stone wash keeps things looking clean without going stiff, and the zipper fly rounds out a no-frills build that will last through serious use.

Round House Outlet

Also on sale from $89.95 to $69.95, the #105 is Round House's more everyday cut: a regular fit, 14 oz. 100% cotton denim with five pockets and a dark stone wash that holds up well over time. The cotton is grown, planted, and harvested in the USA, same as everything Round House makes, and the fit sits right between relaxed and slim without leaning too far either way. Clean, simple, and built to outlast most of what's out there at this price.

STREETWEAR
Intro: Quasi Skateboards

Straight outta Columbus, Ohio. Respect to these guys. There’s a sweet part on their website’s landing page. I spent like 10 minutes on that at least.

Quasi

Quasi is a skate brand with a real point of view, and the Juno jacket shows it in a high-pile polar fleece shell with mesh lining that keeps things from getting too hot inside. The raglan sleeves give it that easy, dropped-shoulder shape, while elastic cuffs, a half collar, and a full zip front make it practical. Chest and side pockets add carry room, and the woven chest label is the kind of small detail that matters to people who notice these things.

Quasi

An 11 oz. jersey fleece built from 85% cotton and 15% polyester hits a good middle ground: substantial enough to feel like something, light enough that it doesn't drag. The athletic fit and raglan sleeves keep it looking sharp rather than boxy, and the flocked graphics on the front and back give it presence. Flat-woven drawstrings and a self-lined hood round out a clean build that subtly leans skate.

FORMAL WEAR
Ties on Sale

Nice clearance going on at Tie Bar right now. Sub-$20 for some wool and silk ties.

Tie Bar

On sale, down from $28 to $14, this skinny tie is cut from an 80% silk and 20% linen blend that sits light and breathes well in warmer rooms. The black cherry polka dot pattern on a black cherry ground reads as rich and subtle rather than flashy, the kind of thing that works at a wedding or a dinner without needing a pocket square to finish it. At 2.5 inches wide and 58 inches long, it's sized for a clean, modern knot, and the linen content gives it a slight texture that keeps it from looking flat.

Tie Bar

On sale, down from $35 to $17.50, this tie is made from 100% Italian wool sourced from the Vitale Barberis mill in northern Italy, a family-owned operation with a long track record for serious cloth. The hunter green color has a tonal, all-over camo pattern woven into it that adds depth without going obvious. It comes in both a 2.5" skinny and a 3" modern width, and the wool construction gives it a soft, matte texture that suits fall and winter far better than silk in those months.

OFFICE WEAR
Some Real Pants

Here’s a couple pant options for the office that are 97% cotton.

I haven’t said this in a while, but the explosion of $150-$200 stretch polyester/spandex blends cosplaying as “performance chinos” absolutely disgusts me.

Your place of work needs more than Lululemon with belt loops. Wear cotton like your grandfather did and the polyester in the warehouse.

Spoke London

SPOKE's Heroes are a garment-dyed stretch cotton chino in 97% cotton and 3% elastane that has a broken-in feel right out of the box. The olive color is one of their core shades, and the cut sits slim but not tight, at a mid-rise that doesn't pull at the waist. Rear jet pockets, visible top-stitching, and a Swiss-engineered clasp at the front give it considered detail without going formal. SPOKE's sizing system covers 15 waist sizes, 3 thigh builds, and 10 leg lengths, so the fit is genuinely dialed in.

Spoke London

The Fives are SPOKE's jean-style chino, cut in 97% cotton and 3% elastane from a soft lyocell blend that feels closer to a worn-in denim than a dress pant. The heavy metal colorway is a dark grey that reads as sharp without being black. Half-moon front pockets, patch rear pockets, and a coin pocket give it that five-pocket denim structure, while the slim-but-not-skinny cut and mid-rise sit make it an easy swap for jeans on days that call for something a bit more pulled together.
