EDITOR’S NOTE
I got an invitation to a coffee event last week for my other hobby (drinking cortados), and put out a lil’ number in collaboration with the host today. Check it out here:
Anyway, let’s tap into today.
LUXURY
CIB (Critically Important Brand)
The collarless overshirt by Lemaire has a modern, understated design that’s all about clean lines and subtle details. Made from compact cotton twill, it has a soft, matte texture that feels sturdy yet breathable. Its charcoal hue pairs easily with neutrals or brighter tones, while the relaxed fit and buttonless placket keep it easygoing but polished. With a curved hem and functional side slits, it’s perfect for layering over tees or under jackets without feeling bulky
Lemaire's zipped blouson in walnut is a smart choice for the season. The jacket has a relaxed fit with a high collar and raglan sleeves, making it comfy for daily wear. Its water-repellent fabric keeps us dry in light rain, while the hidden zip closure adds a clean look. We're fans of the roomy pockets - perfect for stashing our stuff when we're on the go.
WORKWEAR
New England Made
Warren's Barnard Shirt Coat is a cozy layer that blends the best of shirts and jackets. Made from a wool blend, it has a soft feel and keeps you warm when temps drop. The shirt coat sports a relaxed fit, two chest pockets, and a button front closure. We love how it can be worn as a light jacket or layered under heavier coats for extra warmth.
The Montcalm Easy Trouser is a relaxed yet polished option for those who value comfort without sacrificing style. Made from a soft, stretchy wool blend, these trousers have a slightly tapered leg and an elasticated waistband with an adjustable drawstring for a custom fit. Side and back pockets add practicality, while the lightweight fabric makes them perfect for transitioning between seasons. Pair them with a crisp shirt or a laid-back knit to nail an effortless, pulled-together look.
Warren's new Pomfret chinos blend utility and style in a sanded cotton canvas. These pants have a tapered fit with room in the seat and thigh, plus useful details like a back yoke and double besom welt pockets. The straw-colored fabric is soft yet sturdy, making the Pomfret ideal for both work and fancy events. We love the antique brass buttons from Connecticut's iconic Waterbury Button Company.
FORMAL WEAR
Sabah Szn
The weather hit 60 today, and it’s going to be in the 70s tomorrow. That means that it’s officially the dawn of Sabah Szn. I heavily appreciate the new Talavera Brown color that was introduced this season, and the rough suede ones are always a yes. Will I get my fourth pair this summer? Stay tuned and find out.
OFFICE WEAR
Header
Speaking of the greats coming out of hibernation, it’s also a good idea to get ahead of spring and check if you need to replace any polos. Naturally, the answer to that problem would be Sid Mashburn
Sid Mashburn's Court Polo in Navy Pima Pique is a must-have for any man's closet. This polo has a refined look with its mother-of-pearl buttons and self-collar, making it perfect for both casual and dressier events. The pima cotton fabric ensures comfort and durability, while the tailored fit keeps you looking sharp. We love how this polo can be dressed up with a blazer or worn on its own for a more laid-back vibe.
The Court Polo in Heather Grey is a smart update to the tennis-inspired classic. Also made from soft pima cotton pique, this shirt has a slim fit and a three-button placket for a clean look. We love the ribbed collar and armbands, which add a touch of texture. The shirt's breathable fabric makes it perfect for warm days, whether you're on or off the court.
ONE LAST THING….
Gators.

My pick for March Madness winner is mowing through the field of play like a John Deere rider mower through five feet of fescue. That is: smoothly and without much issue.
Let’s hope that continues…
