LUXURY
Ice Cold Flannel

This is how you take a menswear staple, the flannel shirt, and make it a statement piece. Celine's new menswear line has a '90s grunge vibe, and this flannel encapsulates that aim. The soft cotton fabric features an acid wash bleach for a worn-in retro look. The strong collar and curved hem give this piece a luxurious twist that can elevate any casual outfit.

Uniqlo x JW Anderson

When JW Anderson designs for Uniqlo, we buy. I repeat: when JW Anderson designs for Uniqlo, we buy. My favorite parka still in rotation is a Jonathan for Uniqlo collaboration from seven years ago that now resells for over $200. I literally wore it on Monday. This is a warm weather capsule releasing April 19th, so it’s got shirts, linen-blend pants, and even a classic canvas tote bag that is 2024’s best beach bag under $40. Seriously, though, when else do you get to buy something from the creative director at Loewe for such a good price? Nowhere.

Reworking a Classic

Very rarely is the Converse All Star silhouette touched. In many respects, there’s no reason to. But nonnative and Converse Japan teamed up for a new release of the All Star silhouette that is genuinely new. The sneaker features a unique design with a zipper down the middle and is made from recycled materials. The collaboration will be available for purchase on April 6 for $117 USD. I’m keeping this tab open.

J. Press Introduction

J. Press is a renowned men's clothing company with a rich history dating back to 1902, known for their classic Ivy League-inspired aesthetic and preppy style. The grey herringbone summer tweed sport coat is a high-quality option for the warmer months. Crafted from 100% cotton with a natural shoulder and unconstructed design, this imported jacket offers a classic menswear look. While the brand has expanded over the years, their Japanese licensed distribution is now significantly larger than their American operations.

The Full Zip

Having grown up in an era when the quarter zip reigned supreme, I’m not ready to concede that full zip sweaters are “back in.” That said, I write this newsletter with a duty bound obligation, enforceable by law, to keep you all abreast of what is happening today in menswear. So, I guess, take a look at this Todd Snyder full zip as an example of how you can turn that quarter zip to a full zip in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re biting off more than you can chew.
