Boglioli, Margiela, Stone Island, Loewe, Polo Ralph Lauren

EDITOR’S NOTE

Today’s message: wear sunscreen! The summer’s over, but sun damage is not.

Anyway, let’s tap into today.

LUXURY
Boglioli Milano

Boglioli's latest offering includes a garment-dyed wool jacket that brings a wonderful injection of color into their luxury equation. Garment dyeing gives the wool a unique, lived-in look that sets it apart from typical suit jackets. The jacket features a notched lapel with pick stitching (a TIM favorite), two-button closure, and patch pockets, perfectly blending casual and formal elements.  This piece is great all around, but especially for those seeking to convey relaxation in a polished jacket.

WORKWEAR
Margiela GATs

The Wall Street Journal recently wrote about how German Army Trainers (GATs) have taken over a meaningful amount of the sneaker market of late. Think Adidas Samba, Gazelle, Spezial, Campus and others. These are all GAT derivatives. These Margiela GAT replicas are the closest to the real shoe that the German Army actually wore, and this broken in size 9 is so ripe for wear. If you want to train for a pentathlon or just run errands in a stable and classic shoe, these are for you.

STREETWEAR
Classic Stone Island Hoodie

Stone Island's pullover hoodie is nothing new, but remains a staple of casual streetwear. Highlighting it this time around because Bloomie’s has this color in medium on sale for 40% off. The logo patch is instantly recognizable and is featured prominently on the sleeve here. With its ribbed cuffs and hem, this hoodie offers a snug fit that's perfect for cooler days, and some street cachet.

FORMAL WEAR
For September Vacationers

Loewe's Campo sandals offer a delicately luxurious take on summer footwear. These light brown calf suede sandals feature a caged design with side buckle fastening, almond toe, and a branded leather insole. Made in Italy, they blend luxury with comfort, sporting a leather sole with a rubber component for added grip. The sandals' design strikes a balance between casual and dressy, making them a smart choice for your final warm-weather outings of the calendar year.

OFFICE WEAR
Classic Chino

Polo Ralph Lauren isn’t reinventing the wheel with the Sullivan Slim Knit-Like Chino Pants. They’re merely a 2024 proposition on a menswear staple. These low-rise pants feature a slim fit through the seat and thigh with a tapered leg, crafted from a stretch cotton dobby fabric for comfort and freedom of movement. The design includes the brand's signature embroidered Pony on the coin pocket and a leather patch at the back right waist, adding subtle style details that make these the chinos to get in an otherwise oversaturated category prone to choice paralysis.

ONE LAST THING….
Wonderful Sunscreen

This Korean sunscreen from Round Lab is a new daily driver for me. In America, our sunscreen is forced by law to only rely on mineral filters, which is the stuff that leaves a white cast on your skin and personally prevented me from applying it daily. Fortunately, I learned about chemical filters, which the rest of the world use and which leave no white cast at all. This SPF 50 option also has niacinamide infused in it, which calms your skin and promotes hydration. Tap in.
