EDITOR’S NOTE
Are you a Venmo requester? Or are you just texting someone later if you covered the tab? When is it kosher to use the ‘remind’ feature in Venmo? Are these brokeboi questions??!??
I want a consensus on this, but the people are scattered across the board.
Anyway, let’s tap into today.
LUXURY
Elevated Workwear
Iron Heart teams up with Wesco® for this 7-inch lace-up boot, made from natural veg-tanned horsehide by Maryam Tannery in Italy. The leather is dense and tough, breaking in with wear and picking up a rich patina as it ages. We get a dress toe cap with brogue detail, solid brass hardware, and a black Vibram sole that grips well on any surface. These boots are built in Oregon and made to last, with care tips that keep the leather looking sharp for years.
Made from heavy 25oz Japanese selvedge denim, these jeans are built for long days and hard work. The straight cut gives us room to move, and the deep indigo shade fades with time, showing off how we wear them. The denim starts out stiff but softens up after a few weeks, making them feel like our own. If you want jeans that last and tell a story — because isn’t that luxury? — these are the ones.
STREETWEAR
CozyFlo©️
This knit polo uses soft wool yarn in a shade called latte grain, which looks clean and easy to pair with almost anything. The collar and button placket give it a sharp look, but the knit keeps it relaxed. We like that it works for both a chill weekend or a night out. If you want a polo that feels as good as it looks, this one checks the box.
These wool knit pants match the polo, with the same latte grain color and soft touch. The fit is relaxed but not baggy, and the knit moves with us, making them easy to wear all day. The ribbed cuffs keep the shape at the ankle, so they stack just right over our shoes. If you want pants that feel like sweats but look much sharper, these are worth a try.
FORMAL WEAR
American Made
The Scout Boot has a classic shape with a modern edge, built from leather that stands up to rain and scuffs. The sole gives us grip on slick sidewalks, and the inside feels smooth, so we can wear them all day. We like that these work with both jeans and dress pants. If you want boots that look sharp but can take a beating, these fit the bill.
These pleated shorts use a cotton-linen blend that keeps us cool when the heat kicks in. The pleats add shape without feeling stuffy, and the fabric has a soft drape that moves with us. They hit above the knee, so they look sharp without feeling tight. If you want shorts that dress up a summer day, these are a solid pick.
OFFICE WEAR
The Active Office-goer
The Slow Twitch Shirt has a trim fit and a bit of stretch, so it moves with us from desk to dinner. The fabric feels smooth and keeps its shape, and the collar sits just right under a jacket or on its own. We like the clean lines and the way it holds up after a long day. If you want a shirt that works as hard as you do, this one is worth a look.
This workshirt uses sturdy canvas that breaks in over time, giving it a lived-in feel. The fit is easy but not loose, and the pockets come in handy for stashing our keys or phone. We like that it works as a shirt or a light jacket, depending on the weather. If you want a layer that handles both work and weekends, this one does both.
ONE LAST THING….
🔥 🔥 🔥
Hell of a Harrington jacket from J. Press and American Trench. Custom patchwork fabric made in Chennai, India and then crafted in the US. Biiiiiiig move in my book.
As always, thanks for reading!
