EDITOR’S NOTE

A few weeks ago I wrote about my passion for AC. But I have an addendum. As I write this on Thursday, I am actually feeling physically sick because of how much I’ve overdone my AC last night. I had it on max cool when it was only a balmy 79 degrees overnight, and I am now paying the price. Deep nasal cavity irritation. Slight headache.

Please make sure to practice moderation with your cooling. Lest you tempt a similar fate.

Anyway, let’s tap into today.

WORKWEAR
Kelly Slater is in? Me too.

Kelly Slater (the actual GOAT of pro surfing) has been wearing this brand Outerknown Apparel a lot at the Tahiti Pro. Tap in here (IG video). I dug into their catalog and found some goodies. Whether you’re a surfer or just a beachgoer, this brand is doing good things.

OK Apparel

Kelly designed this trunk himself it appears. The waistband cinches without bunching, and pitched forward side seams with vents sit easy on a board. A unique back pocket holds the key loop and eleven laser-cut drain holes (one for each of Slater's world titles). Welded seams and soft inner thigh triangles handle years of use.

OK Apparel

This lofty organic cotton twill looks like a thick flannel but runs lighter and more breathable. The woven pattern pulls from the surf-to-street energy Outerknown wants to be known for. Buttons made from nuts, chest pockets with button flaps, and a relaxed fit works when layered over a tee or alone.

STREETWEAR
Cheeky from Our Legacy

Madewell

Dainty little number, here. A silver frame with bronze temples and dark red Carl Zeiss Vision lenses in a rectangular silhouette angled down at the corners. The frame is lightweight and handmade in Italy, and the dark red lens sits between brown and burgundy.

Our Legacy

A functionless watch face in sterling silver made in Portugal. The dial has raised indexes and a static crown, a Chromexcel leather strap, and an engraved back. At 40mm across the face, it’s something that sits heavy on the wrist and pisses off watch lovers you may be around. And that’s a win…

FORMAL WEAR
Completely Tasty British Outer Layers

Grenfell

A ripple through British menswear history, this jacket evolved from Grenfell's 1931 golf jacket into a cultural icon worn by everyone from Paul Weller to Damon Albarn. The Harrington sits easy over a sweater or shirt, ribbed collar and cuffs for a clean finish, horn buttons, and a metal zip. The outer is 100% Grenfell Cloth (water-repellent cotton that breathes rather than seals), lined in Grenfell House Check cotton. Made in London. Available in Classic or Standard fit.

Grenfell

The other side of that legacy is Grenfell's original 1931 all-weather jacket, worn by the Ryder Cup team in 1947 and Sir Henry Cotton. A stand collar, two-way nickel zip, front pockets with button flaps, and metal side adjustors for dialing in the fit. Same Grenfell Cloth outer and House Check lining as the Harrington, but roomier in the body and built to wear over layers. 100% acetate satin sleeve lining. Made in London, handcrafted.

OFFICE WEAR
Summer Linen, Long and Short

Madewell

Built from structured linen that softens with wear, this button-up hits the office with a lay-flat collar and clean lines. The body runs at 30 inches, so it tucks cleanly without extra fabric bunching. Machine washable and 100% linen throughout, it's a shirt that lives in rotation.

Madewell

Same structured linen as its long-sleeve sibling, but the camp shirt collar and short sleeves make it work solo in warmer months or layered under a light jacket. At $59.99 (marked down from $98), the stripe pattern is on sale now. Body length is the same 30 inches, machine wash, 100% linen.

ONE LAST THING….
If you like European soccer

The app/company logo

I made an app that incorporates all of European club soccer into one fantasy game. English, Spanish, French, German, Italian leagues as well as European tournaments like the Champion’s League. Only this week did it get over the hump of being playable by total strangers, so I want to share it with this group.

If you like Fantasy American football and watch any amount of European soccer, you’d like this game. Happy to arrange a TIM league, or help you find others to join if you want to play (you need 3 users to start a league).

Let me know!

As always, thanks for reading!

Please help spread the word and tap into our social media or ShopMy marketplace.

If you ever feel compelled to give back to TIM, you can pledge your support below.
