EDITOR’S NOTE
I am #ill today, as if violently thrust into fall against my will. I didn’t layer at all yesterday in 45-50 degree weather, and I am paying for it with my dignity and my nasal clarity. Don’t be me: move some layers front and center in the closet ASAP.
Anyway, let’s tap into today.

News: Kimmy J & Menswear Broadly
First things first, there are no products in this category today. Rather, we are here to break (>48 hours late) the news that Kim Jones is leaving his role as creative director of womenswear at Fendi, but staying on as creative director of menswear at Dior. The news is in line with this BoF article describing how menswear retail stores are having a Renaissance in downtown New York. This focus in elite design circles and investment in physical retail is indicative that there is real wind in the sails of menswear. We’re riding the wave together, folks!
WORKWEAR
Corduroy Overshirt
Woolrich's Garment Dyed Corduroy Overshirt is a cozy top layer that plays in a huge variety of circumstances. This button-up features a soft corduroy fabric that's been garment dyed for a lived-in look. The overshirt style makes layering easy, while the ‘uge chest pockets add a touch of utility. It comes in a blue and brown colorways, both of which I insist you get one size bigger than you think you need.
STREETWEAR
Randy’s Cargo
Randy's Garments is a New York City-based workwear brand that emphasizes quality construction and American craftsmanship, making pieces entirely in the US. These Super Twill Cargo Pants in dark olive, crafted from a sturdy cotton twill fabric, are very cool. They maintain a relaxed fit through the leg, rock multiple pockets for storage, and have a button fly closure to increase the degree of difficulty when you’ve gotta go (for style points). Again, this garment is made in the USA (!) and includes details like bar tack stitching at stress points and triple-needle construction for added durability. Get on board with Randy’s work, folks!
FORMAL WEAR
Cashmere Car Coat
Norwegian Wool's Grey Herringbone Car Coat is a sleek winter option that doesn't skimp on warmth. The outer layer is made from Italian wool with a slick herringbone pattern, while the inside packs 90/10 premium down for serious insulation (read: really f*cking warm). This coat has a water-repellent finish, hidden pockets, and a removable hood, making it ready for literally any weather pattern. That’s that Norwegian difference.
OFFICE WEAR
More Cord: J.Crew Trouser
J.Crew's relaxed-fit pleated corduroy trousers are a cozy choice that dresses up nicely. These pants feature a corduroy fabric in which the ridges are wider and more noticeable than finer cords. The relaxed fit and pleated front are roomy, and the straight leg keeps the look away from that God-forsaken sl*mf*t style. Available in deep camel, these trousers can easily dress up a casual outfit or add texture to your work attire.

OC
Took this shot at a bar yesterday, where we accidentally sat down right as the Mets-Dodgers playoff game was starting. We saw a Grand Slam with some happy local fans surrounding us, and got an extra round on the house because the bartender pictured above gave me incorrect change. It felt like he did it on purpose, though, so I lost no sleep about the mistake.
