EDITOR’S NOTE

Covid is back, folks… I’ve been down bad for four days straight. Cough in your arm, please! And don’t be like Dwight.

Anyway, let’s tap into today.

LUXURY
Cheeky Auralee Set

Auralee

Auralee's wool, alpaca, and silk blend tweed bomber jacket has a clean, sharp cut that lifts the casual bomber style. The mix of wool and alpaca with silk gives it a soft feel and a muted sheen that sets it apart from regular tweeds. It’s lined with a breathable yet sturdy fabric to keep us comfortable all day. This jacket works well layered over knits or light shirts, making it great for fall and cooler spring days.

Auralee

Auralee’s matching wool, alpaca, and silk blend tweed trousers come in a straight cut that fits without squeezing, offering comfort for all-day wear. The fabric’s soft texture and subtle shine add a quiet touch of luxury that stands up to casual or semi-dressy looks. These trousers have a clean front with a well-made waistband that sits right, helping us keep a neat silhouette whether paired with sweaters or blazers.

Filson

This is heat. Filson’s Mackinaw wool jacket liner in forest green is designed to add serious warmth to outer layers without feeling bulky. The dense wool holds heat well and ages beautifully, while the sturdy buttons and reinforced seams keep it rugged enough for work or weekend wear. Its simple design means it can double as a light jacket or a warm inner layer when temperatures drop. This piece has become a go-to for practical style with a nod to outdoor heritage.

STREETWEAR
Nigel Thornberry Cabourn

Standard & Strange

Nigel Cabourn’s New Medical Shirt in salt and pepper brings a relaxed take on a classic button-up, made from soft, breathable fabric that’s easy to wear all day. The salt and pepper texture adds depth to the simple design, making it pair well with jeans or loose trousers for a casual street look. It’s cut with enough room to move freely but still keeps a sharp profile.

Standard & Strange

The British Army Pant in loose denim green from Nigel updates the utilitarian staple with a softened denim fabric that’s sturdy but not stiff. The loose cut gives a laid-back vibe without feeling sloppy, and the rich green color stands out without being loud. These pants pair well with boots or sneakers, perfect for streetwear or casual weekends.

OFFICE WEAR

Pal Zileri

Pal Zileri’s natural calf suede sneakers combine dress shoe polish with casual ease thanks to their soft suede and clean shape. The light tan color gives us flexibility to pair these with chinos or smart jeans, making them an easy upgrade from typical office shoes. They have a sturdy sole that keeps comfort through long days on our feet.

Pal Zileri

The black calfskin derby shoes from Pal Zileri keep things sharp with a smooth leather finish and classic derby design. These shoes have subtle stitching that adds refinement without overdoing it, so they work well with suits or tailored trousers alike. Their build balances durability with dressy appeal, helping elevate standard office footwear.

ONE LAST THING….
On Television

HBO Max

To cope with my flagrant covid-induced cabin fever, I’ve indulged in a re-watch of True Detective Season 1. My first revisit in over eight years.

This show is so electric and so perfect. It’s obviously from the good people at HBO, and is full of epic one liners from McConaughey. I’ll be finishing up today.

Please add this to your list if you haven’t seen it yet (only S1).

As always, thanks for reading!
